Romanian Embassy in Baku hosts reception on country`s Great Union Day
Baku, December 7 (AZERTAC). The Embassy of Romania in Azerbaijan has organized an official reception to mark the country`s holiday - the Great Union Day.
The event started with the performance of the national anthems of both countries.
Ambassador Daniel Cristian Ciobanu spoke about the development of Romania. The diplomat also praised relations between Azerbaijan and Romania.
He noted an official visit of Romanian President Traian Basescu to Azerbaijan in 2011 had contributed to further development of the bilateral relations.
Daniel Cristian Ciobanu said official Bucharest welcomed Azerbaijan`s cooperation with the EU and NATO.
Azerbaijan`s Energy Minister Natig Aliyev congratulated Romania`s people on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev.
The Minister also highlighted the steadily developing relations between the two countries, stressing the importance of implementation of energy projects. He also expressed confidence that the friendly relations would continue to strengthen and deepen.
The event brought together state and government officials, MPS, as well as ambassadors, representatives of the international organizations and public figures.
