Romanian FM gets updated on post-conflict developments in the region

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Romania Huseyn Najafov has met with the country’s newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs Luminița Odobescu.
The meeting saw discussions on current state and development of bilateral and multilateral relations between the two countries, developments in the region as well as prospects for enhancement of relations and present strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Romania in all areas.
Ambassador Najafov praised bilateral cooperation in political, economic, trade, energy, cultural, humanitarian, tourism and other spheres. He mentioned the recent reciprocal visits of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Romanian President Klaus Iohannis as well as visit of Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu to Azerbaijan as a vivid example of high-level relations between the two countries.
Najafov also briefed Romanian FM about the current post-conflict developments in the region, ongoing reconstruction and restoration works in the liberated territories, Azerbaijan’s efforts towards normalization process with Armenia and implementation of peace agenda as well as Armenia’s revanchist policy against Azerbaijan.
They also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
