Rome's LUISS University students briefed on Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijan Cultural Center, operating under the Azerbaijani Embassy in Italy, has organized an event focused on youth and their development, with participation of students studying Global Governance and Politics faculty at LUISS University.
Speaking at the event, dedicated to expanding academic and humanitarian ties between Azerbaijan and Italy, Ambassador Rashad Aslanov described energy projects as one of the key areas connecting the two countries. He provided comprehensive insights into Azerbaijan’s independence history and the international events hosted by the country. The ambassador also highlighted the perspectives of the Italy-Azerbaijan University, opened in 2025 with the participation of the leaders of both countries.
The event participants were also informed about Azerbaijan’s ongoing state policy focused on youth welfare and education.
In her remarks, Manuela Traldi, President of the Italy-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce, highlighted the growth of economic ties between the two countries, sharing details about the chamber’s activity, and inviting students to visit Azerbaijan to gain a closer insight into the country. She also highlighted the extensive cultural and humanitarian initiatives of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Italy and the Vatican.
Deputy Director of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center, Gulnar Taghizade, briefed the participants on the center’s activity, its main principles, and ongoing cultural initiatives, drawing attention to efforts to promote Azerbaijani culture in Italy.
Later, the students participated in a quiz about Azerbaijan.
In conclusion, they visited the museums located in the Cultural Center, where they were provided with detailed information about Azerbaijani culture.
