Rotterdam Street opens in Baku
Baku, November 22 (AZERTAC). A ceremony has been held to inaugurate the Rotterdam Street and an information board in the Garadagh district of Baku.
The ceremony was attended by head of Garadagh`s Executive Authorities Suleyman Mikayilov, Ambassador of the Netherlands Robert Jan Gabrielsen, Mayor of Rotterdam Ahmed Aboutaleb, the city’s International Relations Advisor Helene Zeller, commercial director at Rotterdam city Port Bas Hennissen.
Mikaliyov described the opening of the Rotterdam Street as a strong signal of development of the Azerbaijani-Netherlands relations.
Rotterdam Mayor Aboutaleb said there is also the Baku Street in Rotterdam, adding this will further the relations between the two countries.
Aboutaleb said he was amazed by the beauty of Baku, saying the Azerbaijani capital blends traditions and modernity.
The ceremony participants viewed renovations put in place along the street, as well as photos depicting the look of the future park here.
