RUSSIA TO CHAIR UN SECURITY COUNCIL

On rotation basis, from 1 August current year Russia will begin presidency at the Security Council of the United Nations replacing at this post Romania, AzerTAj correspondent reported.

As was stated on 29 July representative of the RF MFA Aleksander Yakovenko, Russia aspires during its presidency at the SC to carry the work dynamically to ensure charter duties of the UN SC as a basic body responsible to maintain international peace ands security.

Andrey Denisov will implement duties of the chairman.
