Saint Petersburg to host CIS PA standing committees` meetings

Baku, October 23 (AZERTAC). Saint Petersburg, Russia will host next meetings of the CIS Parliamentary Assembly standing committees and an international conference.

Azerbaijani chairman of the Milli Majlis committee on regional issues Arif Rahimzade, MPs Arastun Javadov, Fazail Aghamali and Adil Aliyev will visit Saint Petersburg on October 23-26 to attend the events.

The meeting of the Standing Committee of the CIS Inter-parliamentary Assembly on Examining Experience in State-Building and Local Government will feature discussions on recommendation project on organization and general principles of municipal referendums and elections.

The meeting of the Supervision and Budget Commission of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly will feature on financing the organization, as well as working plan for 2014.

The international conference on "Ways to increase the role of regional and local authorities in social and economic development of European and CIS Nations" will discuss usage of modern strategies and innovative technologies in improvement of people`s social welfare.
