SAM hosts presentation of “30 historical visits” book
Baku, February 11 (AZERTAC). The Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan has hosted a presentation of the “30 historical visits” book, which has been published with the help of the Heydar Aliyev Heritage Research Center. The book includes news, stories, speeches and interviews made during Heydar Aliyev's thirty visits abroad.
Director of SAM Farhad Mammadov made the opening speech, where he stressed that it was significant to have had one of the first events in the year dedicated to the heritage of Heydar Aliyev.
“The name of the National Leader is associated with success and achievements of contemporary Azerbaijan. I am absolutely positive that the legacy of this outstanding politician has to be studied.” Mammadov underlined that foundation of the contemporary foreign policy in Azerbaijan was laid by Heydar Aliyev.
"There is no doubt, that everything that has been achieved by our Republic, including today, we owe to Heydar Aliyev and his successor and our current President Ilham Aliyev".
Mammadov stressed that it is due to the foreign policy conducted by the National Leader that the basis of successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and other countries has been created.
Fuad Babayev, who has been Head of the Creative Group of the book, stressed the importance of active propaganda of Heydar Aliyev's legacy for the young Azerbaijani generation.
The event was also attended by Ombudsperson Elmira Suleymanova, MP Bakhtiyar Aliyev, journalists, experts and diplomats.
"30 historical visits" has been published in Azerbaijani and English, and is designed for a broad readership.
