SLOVENIAN “ISKRATEL” COMPANY REALIZES “ONLINE SHAMAKHY” PROJECT IN AZERBAIJAN
The new Next Generation Network (NGN) “Online Shamakhy” Project was presented on Friday in the Telecommunication Center of Shamakhy province, Azerbaijan, which was realized by Slovenian “Iskratel” Company.
First of all, the event’s participants including Minister of Information and Communication Technologies of Azerbaijan Ali Abbasov and Slovenian Minister of Economic Development Andrej Vizjak visited the monument of the nationwide President Heydar Aliyev and paid tribute to him.
The opening ceremony were addressed by the Ministers Ali Abbasov, Andrej Vizjak, General Director of “Aztelekom” Mahammad Mammadov, Slovenian “Iskratel” Company’s Director General Andrei Polenes and first deputy director of the Executive Power of Shamakhy Province Nasimi Abdullayev.
The speakers noted that NGN system as the smallest model of “Electronic Azerbaijan” was realized in the frames of “Online Shamakhy” project and about 2,9 mln financing means were consumed to the realization of the project.
The project was realized by Slovenian “Iskratel” Company, which became winner of the tender.
With help of NGN people can use talks, voice mail, multimedia services, uniform online correspondence and home telephone manager.
Within the framework of the project in the center of province, as well as in some villages including Bagirli, Goylar, II Cabani, Gushchu, Sabir, Chayli, Malikchobanli, Madrasa the existing communication network was rebuilt in accordance with NGN platform and the villages, which didn’t have any telecommunication network before were applied with NGN networks accordingly.
