SOCAR PRESIDENT MEETS UKRAINIAN ENERGY MINISTER
President of Azerbaijan`s state oil firm, SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev met Tuesday with Ukrainian Minister of Fuel and Energy Burzu Aliyev who is on a visit in the country.
Abdullayev spoke of successful energy projects underway in Azerbaijan with involvement of foreign companies.
He underlined Azerbaijan plays great role in energy security of the region.
The SOCAR president noted along with being oil and gas producer, Azerbaijan is an important transit country and has state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities for transporting hydrocarbons from Central Asia to Europe.
Burzu Aliyev said Azerbaijan is very native to him and he loves Baku very much. He praised the Azeri capital`s dynamic development which, Aliyev added, he has witnessed during his current trip.
The Ukrainian Minister underlined his country places a particular emphasis to deepening relations with Azerbaijan.
Burzu Aliyev invited the SOCAR president to attend an energy summit in Kiev to be held later in May.
