SOCAR`S REFINERIES PROCESS 7,630,000 TONS OF CRUDE IN 2007
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan has made huge headway in the last year by sending 7,630,000 tons of crude to the oil refineries for further processing, up by 179 tons on the same period last year. Gasoline production made up 1,136,000 tons last year. The company plans to increase production to 1,372,000 tons in 2008.
SOCAR posted a 22,700 ton increase in diesel production over the 2006 figure, producing 2,117,800 tons in 2007. The company intends to use 806,000 tons out of the scheduled 2,583,000 diesel production to meet the domestic need and 1,777,000 tons to export.
Azerbaijan`s oil giant wants to notably increase production of kerosene, oilcoke and liquid gas in 2008.
