Solar panels installed at 'Bibiheybat' Ship Repair Yard
Baku, October 18, AZERTAC
As part of ongoing efforts to implement environmentally friendly technologies, 162 solar panels, each with a capacity of 690 W, have been installed across a 512 sq.m area on the roof of a production workshop at ASCO’s 'Bibiheybat' Ship Repair Yard.
The system includes solar panels, an inverter, cabling, a SCADA control device, and a meter. The inverter is covered by a 10-year warranty, while the solar panels have a 25-year warranty.
With the Absheron Peninsula receiving an estimated 2,200-2,400 hours of sunshine annually, the solar system at the 'Bibiheybat' Ship Repair Yard is expected to generate 240-260 MW of electricity each year at 380 Volts.
This project, undertaken as part of the Green World Solidarity Year, aims to improve energy efficiency and reflects ASCO’s commitment to environmental protection
