SPARE PARTS FOR BMW TO BE PRODUCED IN MOLDOVA
German company Draexlmaier Automotive declared its intention to construct a factory to manufacture an electric equipment and onboard systems for BMW in Belts municipality of the Republic of Moldova, AZERTAC correspondent referring to Moldavian information agency "BASA-Press" reports. The investment project will be realized in two stages.
Draexlmaier’s representative in Moldova Zigfrid Angerer said at the meeting with Minister of Economics and Trade Igor Dodon that at present Draexlmaier Automotive has leased necessary manufacturing facilities and is engaged in employment of 300 experts.
“At the first stage of realization of the project, we shall make investments into technologies amounted nearby 3,5 million euro”, Angerer said.
The selected experts will take part in a number of trainings on perfection of knowledge in Germany and Romania.
The second stage of the investment project will start in 2008 when construction of the factory will begin on manufacture of electric equipment and onboard systems for BMW. Two thousand experts will work in the factory. All productions by the German company in Moldova will be exported abroad for the subsequent assembling.
German company Draexlmaier makes modern onboard systems, spare parts, internal details and the integrated functional systems for companies as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Jaguar, and Lexus.
