Swedish and Norwegian media outlets highlight Iran`s drone attack on Azerbaijan

The Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter published an article informing that the Azerbaijani authorities have declared their intention to respond to drone strikes on the country's territory.
According to President Ilham Aliyev, the Armed Forces have been brought to full mobilization readiness level one and must be prepared to carry out any operation.
The article noted that in Baku this incident was considered an attack on Azerbaijan and an urgent explanation was demanded from Iran. The Iranian ambassador was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The article also emphasizes that, according to the authorities, four people were injured as a result of the incident, with one drone falling near a school, while another struck the largest airport in the region. Azerbaijan stated that it reserves the right to take appropriate response measures.
The Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten highlights that Azerbaijan summoned the Iranian ambassador to provide an explanation after the drone incident in Nakhchivan.
The publication also mentions that the Azerbaijani authorities announced that civilians were injured and one of the airport buildings was damaged as a result of the incident. The Foreign Ministry emphasized that the country considers what happened to be an attack and reserves the right to take appropriate response measures.
“This attack against the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan constitutes a violation of the norms and principles of international law and serves to increase tensions in the region,” the ministry emphasized.
