SWISS PRESIDENT TOURS ICHERI SHEHER IN BAKU
President of the Swiss Confederation Pascal Couchepin took a walk Sunday in the Icheri Sheher (Inner City), historical part of Baku.
The President got acquainted with the Shirvanshah`s Palace and Maiden`s Tower.
Chief of the Icherisheher State Historical and Architectural Reserve Kamran Imanov briefed the Swiss President on the inner city.
President Pascal Couchepin and his spouse had a tea in the Karvansaray where they listed to Azerbaijani folk music. They were presented the book and CD on Azerbaijani music.
Couchepin was accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov.
