Tbilisi hosts International Caspian Energy Investment Forum

The International Caspian Energy Investment Forum has been organized by the Caspian Energy Club in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The forum, which was mainly focused on green energy and digital economy, was attended by state bodies and representatives of the Caspian Energy Club from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia.
Addressing the event, Chairman and CEO of the Caspian Energy Club Telman Aliyev said the forum aims to expand cooperation between the businessmen of Azerbaijan and Georgia, support their joint access to the third countries and attract the investors of other countries to Azerbaijan.
Describing the forum as an indicator of great interest in mutual cooperation between the private sectors of both countries, the speakers noted that the forum was attended by more than 100 companies from both countries, including 50 businessmen from Azerbaijan.
Hailing friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev stressed that “Azerbaijan and Georgia enjoy high-level trade and economic relations and deepening of cooperation between the companies of both countries serves the development of economic relations of our countries”.
The forum also heard speeches by Natig Mammadov, Caspian Energy Georgia chairman, as well as Shabnam Allahverdiyeva, Advisor at the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan - AZPROMO, who shared with the forum participants the results achieved and goals ahead.
The forum continued with panel sessions.
Georgia`s First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Romeo Mikautadze, as well as Director of Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency Javid Abdullayev, Georgian Energy Development Fund Jaba Khmaladze, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Nino Tandilashvili, Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan Javad Gasimov made presentations on green energy and digital development to the participants of the international Caspian Energy Investment Forum.
