Tourist flow to Kyrgyzstan expected to increase by 10% in 2026

Kyrgyzstan will host large-scale events in 2026 that will have a significant impact on the development of the tourism industry, according to Kabar. One of the key events will be the World Nomad Games, preparations for which are already in full swing, Erdenet Kasymov, Director of the Department of Tourism told Birinchi Radio.
According to him, despite the current global situation, Kyrgyzstan expects increase in the influx of foreign tourists.
"In this regard, we are actively preparing for the tourist season, working to improve infrastructure, and enhance the quality of service and amenities provided," noted the head of the relevant department.
According to statistics, the number of tourists in the republic exceeded 10 million by the end of 2025. This figure is expected to grow by at least another 10% this year.
