TURKEY’S NATIONAL HOLIDAY MARKED IN BAKU
Ambassador Turan Morali welcomed the visitors, saying the Republic Day is marked in Azerbaijan very festively. As Azerbaijan and Turkey is “two states, one nation”. Worthy position of two brotherly counties on the international arena became possible after long and difficult struggle.
Then, the Ambassador briefed on the events taken place in Turkey in the dawn of the passed century noting establishment of close relations after Azerbaijan regained its state independence. He stressed valuable contributions of the nationwide leader of Azerbaijan to this cause. Thanks to successful policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev, the fraternal relations between two countries have acquired strategic level, he underlined. The Ambassador highly appreciated the role of Turkish businessmen in Azerbaijan’s becoming a powerful state in region.
Mr. Morali, noting he completes his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan, expressed gratitude for hospitality he was rendered during his activity here.
Then, speaking was speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament (Milli Majlis) Ogtay Asadov, who conveyed congratulations of the Azerbaijani President to the participants of ceremony, the Turkish people.
Representatives of the President Office of Azerbaijan, Members of Parliament, ministers, heads of political parties, NGOs, ambassadors of foreign countries in Baku took part at the reception.
