TURKIC NEWS AGENCIES ASSOCIATION’S MEETING UNDERWAY IN BAKU
The 7th meeting of the General Assembly of Association of News Agencies of Turkic speaking countries entitled “Role of cooperation of news agencies in the development of relations among Turkic-speaking states” started Wednesday in Baku.
The meeting, chaired by Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AZERTAC), is dedicated to the 85th jubilee of Azerbaijan’s nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev.
Speaking at the meeting on behalf of Azerbaijan government, Chief of Socio-political Department at the Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov said relationship among Turkic speaking countries have been established and developed after those countries restored their independence. Mr. Hasanov went on to say the summits of heads of Turkic speaking countries define the key strategy of relationships, adding decisions made at these summits provide directions of activities of governments to promote bilateral and multilateral ties.
He noted the next summit of heads of Turkic speaking countries will be held in Baku, in June.
Chief of Department stated relationships among nations having the same roots do not cover only governmental level, but also other levels, including media sphere.
Ali Hasanov said the Association of news agencies of Turkic speaking countries plays effective role in further expanding ties among Turkic nations, stressing importance of holding of the 7th meeting of the General Assembly in Baku.
Cooperation among News Agencies of Turkic speaking countries is of great significance to highlight the truth about our countries around the globe, Ali Hasanov underscored.
At the end of his speech, he wished every success to the work of General Assembly and expressed confidence that decisions to be made would contribute to further deepening of cooperation of News Agencies.
