Turkish EU Minister visits Azerbaijani Parliament

Baku, June 27 (AZERTAC). Minister for European Union Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu has visited Azerbaijani Parliament to meet Speaker Ogtay Asadov.

Mr. Asadov hailed multilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, saying meetings of the two countries` delegations as part of international events had become constant in nature. He said Azerbaijan and Turkey were strategic partners who shared same positions on principal issues and supported each other.

“Today Azerbaijani-Turkish relations are a good example to other countries,” he said.

Mr. Asadov noted the importance of the 23rd session of the Parliamentary Assembly of OSCE that kicks off in Baku tomorrow.

Mr. Cavusoglu expressed confidence Azerbaijan would perfectly organize the 23rd session of OSCE PA.

He reiterated Turkey`s support for Azerbaijan, and highlighted prospects for future cooperation.
