UNICEF expert holds discussion on development of Children Paralympic Committee in Azerbaijan

Baku, June 12 (AZERTAC). UNICEF expert Collin Higgs is visiting Azerbaijan with a view to develop the Children Paralympic Committee established under Azerbaijan National Paralympics Committee (ANPC).

According to the press service of the ANPC, the UNICEF expert has made presentations at the workshop, which was held on June 11 at the Hilton Baku Hotel and brought together committee members, representatives of government and NGOs.

The attendees discussed development of the Children Paralympic Committee and attraction of children with disabilities.

During the 4-day trip, Higgs will hold discussions with ANPC members on establishment of the legal framework for the Children Paralympic Committee.

The expert has been invited to Azerbaijan according to the Memorandum of Understanding signed between UNICEF Azerbaijan Office and the ANPC.
