U.S. media covers President Ilham Aliyev’s statements on Nakhchivan drone attack

Leading U.S. media outlets have widely reported on the drone attack on Nakhchivan by Iranian forces and on the statements made by Ilham Aliyev during the Security Council meeting.
CNN cited President Aliyev calling the drone strikes a terrorist act, “vile and cowardly.”
“Those responsible must be held immediately accountable. Iranian officials must provide explanations and apologize, and the perpetrators of this terrorist act must face criminal responsibility,” CNN reported, quoting President Aliyev.
It was also noted that under the President’s directive, the Armed Forces have been instructed to prepare and carry out appropriate response measures.
“All this, and yet to strike Nakhchivan in such a vile, cowardly, despicable way?! This stain will never be erased from their ugly and disgraceful image,” the report highlighted Aliyev’s remarks.
Associated Press emphasized that President Aliyev held Iran responsible for this act of terror and aggression and noted that the Azerbaijani military has been ordered to prepare countermeasures.
