US NOT TO RECOGNIZE SO-CALLED PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS IN NAGORNO-KARABAKH

The United States of America will not recognize presidential elections in Nagorno-Karabakh, Jonathan Henick, public affairs officer in the US embassy to Azerbaijan, said.

He pointed out that the United States did not change its position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. According to him, USA recognize Nagorno-Karabakh and other occupied regions as the territory of Azerbaijan. Official Washington will never recognize any elections or referendum in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Commenting on the reports in the Armenian media about the fact that the general planning scheme of occupied city of Shusha was prepared by the US company, he said that the US embassy does not have such information. The investigation is presently underway. Every year, the US Department of State issues a written warning on foreign trips for American citizens. Warning says Nagorno-Karabakh and other occupied territories are the integral party of Azerbaijan.
