VISIT OF TURKISH MINISTER FOR ENVIRONMENT AND FORESTRY TO AZERBAIJAN
Turkish Minister for Environment and Forestry Osman Pepe arrived in Azerbaijan on April 6. On the same
day, visiting Alley of Honors, Turkish Minister paid tribute to the memory of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and put flowers on his tomb. Guest also paid tribute to the memory of the distinguished scientist-ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva and put flowers on her tomb. Then Turkish Minister visited Avenue of Martyrs where paid tribute to the sons and daughters of Motherland, sacrificed their lives in the struggle for independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

The Ambassador of Turkey to Baku Hussein Avni Karslioglu and Chairman of the Society Batachar Baysal also attended the meeting. At the beginning of the meeting, a documentary film was shown on society`s role in development of Azerbaijan-Turkey economic relations, activities of Turkish businessmen in Azerbaijan. Speaking at the meeting, Minister Osman Pepe said : “The rapid development of the friendly and fraternal Azerbaijan pleased us very much. There is a good cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan, and, most importantly, efforts of the heads of States promoting cooperation in the future. Touching upon the development of cooperation between the two countries in the forestry field, the Minister said that Turkey is ready to share its experience with Azerbaijan in this field, and to use every opportunity to expand forested areas in brotherly country.
