World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day celebrated in Indonesia

Baku, December 30 (AZERTAC). An event marking the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day has been held in Indonesia.

Addressing the event Ambassador Tamerlan Garayev said the decision to mark 31 December as World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day was made on December 16, 1991 at the session of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic at the initiative of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Garayev also read out President Ilham Aliyev`s address to the World Azerbaijanis.

The event brought together Indonesian officials, Azerbaijanis living in the country, and journalists.
