World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day marked abroad
Baku, December 30 (AZERTAC). World Azerbaijanis are celebrating their Solidarity Day.
North Cyprus has hosted an event celebrating World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day. The event was organized by the Azerbaijan Student Society at the Eastern Mediterranean University with the support of the Azerbaijan-Cyprus Friendship Society. The event was attended by Azerbaijani, Nigerian, Kazakh and Turkish students studying in the North Cyprus universities.
The Azerbaijani Consulate General in Dubai has organized a celebrative event that brought together representative of the Azerbaijan companies and Diaspora organizations in Dubai.
Delivering a speech at the event, Azerbaijan`s Consul General Parviz Ismayilzade said that the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day had been established by national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Turkmenistan has also organized an event marking the Solidarity Day in Ashgabat.
Addressing the event Azerbaijani Ambassador Vahdat Sultanzade said that the holiday was an important day for uniting Azerbaijanis living in different countries.
Belarus has also hosted an event marking the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day. The Azerbaijani and Belarus anthems were performed at the event.
Chair of the Azerbaijani Communities Congress of Belarus Natig Bagirov, Israeli Ambassador to Belarus Iosif Shagal, representative of the Azerbaijani State Committee on work with Diaspora Ruslan Guliyev and others delivered speeches at the event.
The Astana city of Kazakhstan has also hosted an event dedicated to the Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis.
Counselor of the Azerbaijani Embassy to the country Shahin Ahmadov read out the address of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to world Azerbaijanis.
An event on the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day was held in the Azerbaijani Embassy in Tajikistan.
Azerbaijani Ambassador Abbasali Hasanov spoke about Azerbaijan`s economic achievements over the last decade under President Ilham Aliyev`s leadership.
