20th edition of Baku Summer Energy School kicks off

The 20th anniversary edition of the Baku Summer Energy School, organized by the Institute for Development and Diplomacy of the ADA University, commenced on July 6.
This year’s edition focuses on energy security and innovation. The two-week event will also explore energy security, global energy markets, geopolitical challenges, energy investment, as well as Azerbaijan’s strategic role in the global energy system.
Opening remarks are delivered by Hafiz Pashayev, Rector of the ADA University; Mukhtar Babayev, Representative of the President of Azerbaijan for Climate Issues; Elnur Sultanov, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Energy; Ziba Mustafayeva, Vice-President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR); Giovanni Cristofoli, bp Regional President for Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye; and Ilgar Ibrahimli, Vice-President of External Affairs and Communications of the GL Group.
