Azerbaijan's most picturesque lake-Maralgol

Azerbaijan is a place of beautiful landscapes. Maralgol is one of the mountainous lakes at an elevation of 1,910 metres (6,270 ft) on Mount Murovdagh in western Azerbaijan. The lake has an area of 23 hectares (57 acres) with a greatest depth of 60 metres (200 ft). Maralgol is connected with another unique beautiful mountain lake, Goygol (Blue Lake), via the Aghsu River.
Maralgol is surrounded by high mountain meadows. The weather here is very cool.
There are special buses for visitors who want to climb Maralgol. Tourists coming to Goygol do not leave without visiting Maralgol. The distance between the lakes is about 25 minutes. Climbing to Maralgol is not so easy. To see this marvelous beauty of nature, you need to climb 296 steps.
