IBSA Judo Grand Prix solemnly opens in Baku

Baku, May 13, AZERTAC

A solemn opening ceremony of the IBSA (International Blind Sports Federation) Judo Grand Prix has been held in Baku.

Speakers at the event, included President of the Azerbaijan National Paralympic Committee Ilgar Rahimov, President of the International Judo Federation Marius Vizer, Azerbaijan`s Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Sahil Babayev and Azerbaijan`s Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Ismayil Ismayilov.

President of the Azerbaijan National Paralympic Committee Ilgar Rahimov presented the Paralympic Order to President of the International Judo Federation Marius Vizer. He was awarded for his role in developing judo.

A video about Azerbaijan`s Paralympians was screened at the event.

The Grand Prix brings together 214 judokas from 35 countries, including 21 fighters from Azerbaijan.
