Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week opens at Expo 2020 Dubai

The opening ceremony of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) and Zayed Sustainability Prize’s awards ceremony have been held at the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Azerbaijan was represented at the events by a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov.
As part of the trip, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov has met with Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, the Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Deputy PM Ali Ahmadov expressed his gratitude for the invitation to attend the high-level event and conveyed greetings and best wishes of President Ilham Aliyev to the Prime Minister of the UAE.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum thanked for the greetings and best wishes of President Ilham Aliyev and asked Deputy PM Ali Ahmadov to extend his greetings and best wishes to the head of state.
Deputy PM Ali Ahmadov also met with Chief Executive Officer of Masdar company Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi. During the meeting, the sides had a broad exchange of views on the projects to be implemented by Masdar company in Azerbaijan, the prospects for cooperation, as well as investment opportunities in the liberated territories of the country.
The Azerbaijani Deputy PM also visited the pavilions of Azerbaijan and the UAE at the Expo 2020 Dubai.
Since 2008, Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) has grown to become one of the largest platforms of its kind in the world. Through its year round initiatives and events, ADSW brings members of the global community together to accelerate sustainable development. The platform brings together a unique fusion of policy makers, industry specialists, technology pioneers and the next generation of sustainability leaders.
ADSW 2022 will focus on delivering action across three principles; Global Collaboration and Leadership, Economic Development, and Technology and Innovation. It will also host a series of industry forums that will bring together leading experts to discuss clean energy, water, ecowaste, solar, smart cities and climate and environment.
