In connection with this date, embassy of our country in Washington and permanent mission in the United Nations has distributed appropriate information. As was stated, memory of Heydar Aliyev has been honored in various cities of America.

In the information disseminated by permanent mission of Azerbaijan in the United Nations among representations of states - participants, it is stated about lifetime of the world scale politician Heydar Aliyev, is emphasized, that last thirty years of the history of Azerbaijan are connected to his name. Adjustment of close relations with the USA, the NATO and Europe, signing of the "Contract of the Century ” with the foreign oil companies, realization of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum are merits of President Heydar Aliyev. Thanks to his successful oil strategy Azerbaijan has turned to a state with dynamically developing economy.

On the occasion of the birthday of President Heydar Aliyev, the Azerbaijan Society of America has disseminated a statement, whereby it is emphasized that without his wise and resolute leadership Azerbaijan would fail in establishment of political stability and economic development.
