AZERBAIJAN BUSINESSMEN VISITED ROMANIA
On May 20, the Romania-Azerbaijan investment forum has taken place in Commercial and Industrial Chamber (RCIC) of Romania. At the forum, the RCIC vice-president Konstantin Rasnoveanu has in detail informed on economy of Romania, and president of ACTU Alakbar Mammadov - the investment environment in Azerbaijan.
The Cooperation agreement was signed between National Confederation of the Organizations of Businessmen of Azerbaijan and Commercial and Industrial Chamber of Romania. According to the said Agreement, with a view of maintenance of intensive development of economic and trading links, the sides came to the arrangement on signing and realization according to the legislation of both countries of the business - contracts directed on mutually advantageous cooperation between businessmen of Romania and Azerbaijan, organization of their business meetings, carrying out of information exchange, organization of exhibitions and maintenance of participation in these exhibitions of businessmen, realization of other measures connected to strengthening of cooperation.
On May 21-22, was held an international economic forum on the topic “New Europe in the dialogue West-East: integration and development ”attended by businessmen from 22 states which are included in the International Congress of Industrialists and Businessmen (ICIB), as well as representatives of official state and business circles of Romania, structures of the European Union. The basic purpose of the Forum consists in definition of new ways of trade, economic development and cooperation in the context of dialogue "West-East". Ambassadors of 18 states in Romania also took part in the work of Forum.
At the expanded sessions of ICIB, Mr. Alakbar Mammadov spoke of the “Role of certification in control system” and “Innovative activity of ICIB”.
Within the framework of trip, the delegation of Azerbaijan has met also members of the Romania -Azerbaijan association of the businessmen carrying out activity in Romania from the beginning of 2004 and uniting about 70 companies. During the meeting between ACTU and the Romania -Azerbaijan Association of Businessmen, the Contract about cooperation has been signed.
During the trip, our businessmen have visited on a number of the enterprises and organizations of Romania, and have taken part in bilateral business meetings. Besides, representatives of our country have met also Azerbaijani students educating in Bucharest and carrying out activity in Romania businessmen-Azerbaijanis.
The sides reached agreement on organization in September - October in Baku of the "Exhibition of the Romanian export goods” and visit of the Romanian businessmen to Azerbaijan
