Azerbaijan contributes to shooting movie over FIFA anniversary
Baku, October 24 (AZERTAC). The shooting of a movie dedicated to the 100th anniversary of FIFA has been begun in Azerbaijan, Ministry of Culture and Tourism reported.
The shooting in Azerbaijan is carried out by Azerbaijanfilm Cinema Studio named after Jafar Jabbarli.
The movie “F2014” directed by French filmmaker Frédéric Auburtin, is based on a screenplay he co-wrote with Jean-Paul Delfino, spanning 100 years of the organization from its inception to the present day.
The movie, starring Tim Roth as FIFA President Sepp Blater, is produced by Paris-based Leuviah Films and has a planned release date to tie in with the World Cup finals in Brazil in 2014.
The shooting of the film is also taking place in Brazil, France and Switzerland.
Famous actor Gerard Depardieu will play Jules Rimet, third president of FIFA from 1921 to 1954.
Other famous actors including Irish actor Jason Barry - best known for playing Dano in “Love/Hate” season three and Tommy in James Cameron`s ‘Titanic” has also joined the cast of “F2014”.
