Azerbaijan, Costa Rica discuss energy cooperation

Azerbaijan and Costa Rica have explored ways of developing cooperation in energy field as the country`s Minister of Energy Natig Aliyev met Minister of Foreign Affairs and Religion of Costa Rica Manuel Gonzalez Sanz.
Mr. Aliyev said Azerbaijan attached great importance to developing relations with Latin American countries. He highlighted the history of Azerbaijan, and its experience in the oil and gas industry. The Minister spoke of Azerbaijan`s accomplishments as a result of the implementation of the national oil strategy.
Mr. Aliyev stressed the importance of the Southern Gas Corridor.
Mr. Gonzalez Sanz said Costa Rica was a favorable, politically stable country for foreign investors. He stressed the importance of reciprocal visits in terms of developing the cooperation in energy field.
