AZERBAIJAN DELEGATION VISITS RIA NOVOSTI
Being in Moscow to take part in jubilee events on the occasion of national leader Heydar Aliyev`s 85th birthday, Azerbaijan’s delegation led by chief of Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev met Thursday with Editor-in-Chief of the Russian News & Information Agency RIA Novosti Svetlana V. Mironyuk.
They talked about prospects of expansion of the Russian-Azerbaijani information cooperation. RIA Novosti Editor-in-Chief stressed importance of training of professional journalists speaking Azerbaijani for her Agency.
Chief of Presidential Administration expressed his wish to deepen cooperation between RIA Novosti and Azerbaijan Mass Media to improve journalists` skills for Azerbaijan’s Russian newspapers and information agencies.
Representatives of Azerbaijani delegation, who become familiar with RIA Novosti, praised the Agency’s technological supplies and other opportunities.
Mr. Ramiz Mehdiyev said RIA Novosti holds one of the leading places among the Russian agencies in the area of multimedia journalism.
