Azerbaijan, European Union enjoy great potential for expanding cooperation

Permanent Representative to the African Union Elman Abdullayev has met with Commissioner for infrastructure and energy of the Union Mrs. Elham Mahmoud Ahmed Ibrahim.

Mr. Abdullayev highlighted Azerbaijan's achievements, energy projects implemented with the support of the country, as well as the country's contribution to the development of the region.

Mrs. Elham Ibrahim hailed Azerbaijan's role in the world's energy security and said she was aware of the country's regional and international initiatives in this sector.

They also said there was great potential for establishing and expanding energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and the African Union.
