Cairo, May 13, AZERTAC
Azerbaijan is participating in the 34th Doha International Book Fair with a national stand organized by the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, with the support of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Qatar.
The international exhibition, which will run until May 17, brings together ministries of culture, publishing houses, and bookstores from 40 countries, including Azerbaijan, Qatar, Palestine, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Jordan, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Türkiye, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Russia, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia, India, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, the USA, and France.
The Azerbaijani pavilion features books in Azerbaijani, Arabic, and English. Among the publications on display are a book of poems by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, as well as books highlighting Azerbaijan's history, culture, and literature. The pavilion also showcases materials on the political legacy of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the designation of Shusha as the "Cultural Capital of the Islamic World 2024", the 44-day Patriotic War, the Karabakh Khanate, and Azerbaijani architectural art.
During the opening ceremony, Qatar’s Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani visited the Azerbaijani pavilion.
