Azerbaijan, Jordan discuss science and education cooperation

Azerbaijan and Jordan discussed cooperation issues in the field of science and education, as Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Jordan Sabir Agabayov met with the minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of this country, Wajih Owais.
Speaking at the meeting, Jordanian minister spoke of the history of fraternal relations between the two countries, stressing the important role of personal friendship of the heads of two countries in strengthening these ties. He also emphasized that the high level of bilateral political relations is also reflected in education cooperation between the two countries. Within the agreements and memorandums on education signed in recent years, the sides arranged student exchange between the two countries, Mr. Wajih Owais added.
İn turn, Sabir Agabayov expressed Azerbaijan’s readiness to maintain cooperation with Jordan.
The ambassador also informed the minister on the Azerbaijani realities, the happenings in the country, the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, history of the problem, the plight of refugees and IDPs. He also emphasized the damage of refugees and IDP problems to the economy of the country.
