Azerbaijan, Pakistan explore enhancing justice cooperation

Farid Ahmadov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Justice, met with a delegation of Pakistan, led by Aqeel Malik, Minister of State for Law and Justice.
The official stressed that the Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations have been elevated to the level of strategic partnership, while also highlighting the crucial role of reciprocal visits and high-level meetings in enhancing these ties.
The meeting also highlighted the joint efforts undertaken as part of the Memorandum and Program on Cooperation between the justice authorities of the two countries.
In this regard, the sides emphasized that a joint training program to be conducted by the Pakistani professionals in Baku would contribute significantly to boosting expertise exchange between both countries’ justice authorities, as well as boosting bilateral professional relations.
Moreover, Minister Ahmadov expressed gratitude to the Pakistani side for holding a successful training program this May in Islamabad, while the meeting confirmed that the Pakistani capital is scheduled to hold another joint training program this October.
The sides expressed confidence that joint training programs would contribute to expanding bilateral justice cooperation.
The meeting also addressed other issues of mutual concern.
