AZERBAIJAN PRODUCES 1.3bln KW/H OF ELECTRICITY IN AUGUST

Baku September 9 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan’s major electricity company, Azerenerji JSC, said it produced about 1.3 bln kw/hour of electric power in August, bringing the total amount of electricity generated since the start of the year to 12.8 bln kw/hour.

In the total volume of power generated last month, the share of thermoelectric power stations was some 1.1 bln kw/h, while the rest 0,2 bln kw/h were produced by hydroelectric power stations across the country.

Azerbaijan`s major electric power partners are Russia, Turkey, Iran and Georgia.
