AZERBAIJAN READY TO DOUBLE NATURAL GAS SUPPLIES TO RUSSIA
Baku, December 29 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan will double natural gas supplies to Russia from the previously planned 500 million cubic meters in 2010, head of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev said.
“Talks were held. Azerbaijan has the possibility to increase gas supply, and in 2010 we will deliver 1.0 billion cubic meters of gas to Russia,” he noted.
In October, Russian energy giant Gazprom secured a deal to import 500 million cubic meters a year of Azeri gas from next year.
