On April 20, the meeting of journalists with family the family of 11-years old Elgun Agayev took place in the embassy of Israel in Azerbaijan, who, by the international humanitarian organization "Lion" in the hospital of the city of Nakhiriya was carried out an operation on elimination of a strabismus.

Speaking about preparation for the humanitarian action, the representative of embassy Jacob Finkelstein has noted that two Israeli ophthalmologists who visited Baku in early April by program «MASHAV», have surveyed the Azerbaijan schoolboy from family of refugee and then the boy together with his mother was sent to Israel where he underwent difficult operation in his eyes.

“I am glad that the Israeli experts could confirm once again indestructibility of friendly relations with Azerbaijan. And I am confident, that similar humanitarian actions will be carried out and henceforth”, J. Finkelstein has noted.

The boy within ten days passed treatment in Israel where successful surgical operation took place on March 23. During the operation, all innovations of medical science have been used. The course and results of treatment of the Azerbaijani boy also remained in the center of attention of mass media of Israel, and surgical operation has been photographed on videotape.

It has been marked that transports charges of family Agayevs have been paid by German air company "Lufthansa".
