AZERBAIJAN REPRESENTATIVES HELD MEETINGS IN UNESCO
As correspondent of AzerTAj informs, Member of Parliament of Azerbaijan Republic Elman Mammadov and the head executive of the city of Shusha Nizami Bahmanov represented our country at the conference and have expressed the attitude to the discussed questions.
The embassy of our republic in France has organized a meeting of representatives of Azerbaijan with director of the department of cultural heritage of UNESCO Mr. M. Gmozlu. During the meetings, N. Bahmanov gave information on our monuments of history destroyed by Armenians on our occupied territories, conveyed to director of the department the written information and pictures reflecting a cultural panorama of the city of Shusha before occupation, has reminded, that aggressors have eradicated the gravestone monuments of Mir Mohsun Nevvab and Govhar Aga, established in Shusha in 50-60s of XX century with support of the said structure.
Deputy of Milli Majlis E. Mammadov has told about one of the black pages of history of the last century – Khojaly genocide, handed over to director the brochure printed in English made of articles of journalists of the various countries about Khojaly tragedy and pictures.
Director of the department has thanked for the valuable information and the documents telling about destruction of monuments of history on the occupied territories, has stated that certain work is being done in this area.
