AZERBAIJAN-TURKEY ASSOCIATION OF BUSINESSMEN FOUNDED
Opening the press conference, Chairman of the Board Ahmet Erentok said the ATAB is a successor of the Turkish Businessmen organization founded in 2002. The Board, according to him, consists of 7 Turkish and 4 Azerbaijani businessmen. Forming committees to hold joint regular meetings both in Azerbaijan and Turkey is also expected. “Our goal is to widen relations with Turkish associations throughout the world, as well as to attract more investments in Azerbaijan,” he said. Mr. Erentek expressed confidence that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Turkey will foster development of all-sided cooperation between the two countries. “We will do our best to follow “Our strength is in unity” the President said at the opening ceremony of the Ataturk Center, and will take active part in implementation of the “State Program of Social and Economic Development of Regions in Azerbaijan,” he added.
The Chairman also noted that the Board members want to see President Ilham Aliyev as Honorary member, and the 9th President of Turkey Suleyman Demirel as honorary member of the Association.
