Azerbaijani ambassador presents credentials to Philippine President

Ramil Rzayev, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to the Philippines with residence in Jakarta, presented his credentials to President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos.
During the meeting, the ambassador conveyed the greetings and best wishes of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the Philippine head of state.
President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos asked that his sincere greetings and best wishes be conveyed to President Ilham Aliyev.
Ambassador Ramil Rzayev noted that Azerbaijan values its friendly relations with the Philippines.
Emphasizing that the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries will be marked next year, the ambassador highlighted broad opportunities for deepening cooperation in trade, investment, education, and cultural exchange.
He also congratulated the Philippines on its Chairmanship of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) this year and wished the country success in promoting regional cooperation and prosperity.
Following the credential presentation ceremony, a wreath was laid at the Rizal Monument in Manila.
