Azerbaijani community in U.S. celebrates Novruz holiday

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in the U.S. organized a festive event in Maryland on the occasion of the Novruz holiday for the Azerbaijani community living in the country.
The gathering brought together members of the Azerbaijani community in the U.S., foreign participants, and Azerbaijani students.
The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Vusala Mehdiyeva, Counselor of the Embassy, noted that such events play an important role in preserving national and spiritual values, strengthening solidarity within the community, and promoting Azerbaijani culture. She congratulated the participants on Novruz and conveyed warm holiday wishes on behalf of the Embassy.
The artistic program featured performances of “Nalbaki,” “Uzundara,” “Bizim Vatan,” and “Yalli” dances by young Azerbaijani participants.
Young Azerbaijani pianists also delighted the audience with renditions of “Aman Ayrılıg,” “Sarı Galin,” “Gubanın Ağ Alması,” “İntizar,” “Nazanda Sevgilim,” “Çırpınırdı Qara dəniz,” and “Ay Lachın.”
The event concluded with guests enjoying samples of Azerbaijani national cuisine.
