Azerbaijani delegation attends ICAPP Conference

An Azerbaijani delegation is attending the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) Special Conference on the theme of "Rebuilding the Silk Road" in Beijing, China.
The conference, which brings together delegations of 64 parties from 31 ICAPP member countries, aims to expand political, economic and cultural relations among the countries and nations located on the historic Silk Road and promote inter-civilizational dialogue.
The conference focused on how to use the power of political parties to reach the aforementioned goals.
Members of Political Council of New Azerbaijan Party, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Firdovsi Aliyev and editor-in-chief of Iki Sahil newspaper Vugar Rahimzade participated in the event.
Members of the delegation expressed Azerbaijan's position on the issues discussed in the meetings, highlighting the work done in the country to restore the historic Silk Road. They noted that thanks to its favorable geographical position between Europe and Asia, Azerbaijan has an important place in international trade transportation.
The Azerbaijani delegation also touched upon the problems that hinder peace, security, development and joint cooperation around the world, as well as in the region, and stressed the importance of resolving the current conflicts within the basic principles of international law.
The delegation then informed the conference participants about the successful economic development of Azerbaijan, adding regional energy and transport projects initiated by the country will contribute to international cooperation.
