Azerbaijani embassy official meets Azerbaijani students studying in UK
London, Sept 19 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani embassy official met the Azerbaijani students studying in the United Kingdom.
Fellow of the Embassy Vusal Abdullayev congratulated the students with the new academic year. Informing the students about the British education system, Abdullayev told about events and projects held about native country, held at universities. Talking about the special care of President Ilham Aliyev to education and youth, Abdullayev underlined that students continue their education in leading universities of foreign countries thanks to the State Program on foreign education of Azerbaijani youths in 2007-2015s.
Chairman of the Azerbaijani Students and Alumni International Forum (ASAIF) Ramin Hakimov has participated in a debate conference held under title "Azerbaijan before and after elections" in Chatham House, London.
The debate involved many influential figures, officials, as well as head of many think tanks and academic staff of UCL, Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, SOAS and King's College. Besides, a meeting was held with Azerbaijani students studying in the UK and the Azerbaijani Embassy in this country.
ASAIF Chairman Ramin Hakimov informed about the organization he represents. He noted that ASAIF aims to strengthen the networking process of youths studying abroad, unite them around Azerbaijanism, involve them in promotion of our country abroad and assist our youth in information exchange and promotion activity. Praising the significance of these events, Hakimov wished luck to the youth in their education and future endeavors.
Fellow of the Centre for Strategic Studies (SAM) under the President of Azerbaijan Republic, Heydar Mirza, spoke about the work done to develop education in the country, achievements in this direction, future youth policy of the state and Azerbaijan's increasing prestige in the international arena.
