Azerbaijani FM meets outgoing Iraqi Ambassador

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has today received outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq Heydar Shiya Gubeysi al-Barrak.
They highlighted the historical and traditional friendly relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Iraq.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov recalled his fruitful meeting with Ibrahim al-Jaafari, Foreign Minister of Iraq on the development of relations between the two countries on September 29, 2015, on the sidelines of the 70th Session of the UN General Assembly.
Ambassador Heydar Shiya Gubeysi al-Barrak expressed his gratitude for the support during his diplomatic mission.
He noted that the direct flights between Baku and Baghdad will contribute to the development of economic, trade, tourism relations and people-to-people contacts between the two countries.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov wished Ambassador Heydar Shiya Gubeysi al-Barrak every success in his diplomatic activities.
