Azerbaijani FM meets with Albanian counterpart

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During the meeting, the two discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Albania, as well as partnership opportunities within international organizations.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed his counterpart about the latest situation in the region, as well as the main causes of the local anti-terrorist measures launched in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, the process of normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the steps taken towards the reintegration of the Armenian population in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
FM Bayramov pointed out that today there is a historic opportunity for the practical reintegration of the residents of the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, expressing his confidence that the meeting held in Yevlakh would bring positive results.
During the meeting, the pair also exchanged views on the energy, commercial, economic issues on the agenda between the two countries, as well as existing investment opportunities and other issues of mutual interest.
