Azerbaijani judoist Ilham Zakiyev (over 100kg) claimed the title of the 3rd Visually Impaired Athletes Championship continuing in Sao Paulo and Sao Caetano in Brazil.

Another Azeri judoist Tofiq Mammadov won bronze in the 100kg weight category.

At the track, 200m runners Vuqar Mehdiyev and Rza Osmanov reached final.

Azerbaijan has already gained three medals at the championship - judoist Ramin Ibrahimov won gold in 66kg weight category and 100m runners Elchin Muradov and Vuqar Mehdiyev scooped bronze in categories B2 and B3 respectively.
